The road is narrow. When weather is nice one can have a wonderful round around of the location. We went in evening, as morning the previous day was heavily rained. The trees and roads are clear, gives very fresh vibes. Sunset from the sightseeing tower is breathtaking. We spoted elephant, parrots, deer, birds, rhinos. At the same time variety of flowers are blooming too. Overall experience is very good, we enjoyed thoroughly. Point of caution is that no shops are nearby so one can take bottled water or food for emergency in advance. Inside the forest network is not good too.

Orang national park: around 30min ride from main road. To be true I have very mixed feelings about this national park.its very dense forest and according to government websites it has highest density of tiger but you have to be lucky to see any. yes deer, some birds, wild boar, elephant you will get to see. Entry fee Rs 50 per person, Rs 450 per person for elephant safari but you have to inform one day in advance, jungle safari by jeep of 4 person cost Rs 1800. Best time for visiting is in March-April as the grass becomes less and more chance of viewing more animals then.

The Orang National Park is a national park in India located on the northern bank of the Brahmaputra River in the Darrang and Sonitpur districts of Assam. It covers an area of 78.81 km2 (30.43 sq mi). It was established as a sanctuary in 1985 and declared a national park on 13 April 1999. It has a rich flora and fauna, including great Indian rhinoceros, pygmy hog, Asian elephant, wild water buffalo and Bengal tiger. It is the only stronghold of rhinoceros on the north bank of the Brahmaputra river.

Hardly anything left here. All you get is a ride through the jungle.

Not that great feeling after visiting this place... It's very costly.. they have just commercialized it and you won't see any animal apart from deer. Nature wise it's good as you would get fresh air and could see the dense jungle, would see few deers for sure.. If lucky enough then you would see rhino and elephant.. Not sure whys it's called tiger reserve, you won't be able to see any... May be one in ten - twenty rides... :-) For 5 people charge is Rs 1950. 1400 for private vehicle, 300 for vehicle entrance, 50 Rs entry charhe per head.
