Russian cultural center also known as Gorky Bhavan at Vanross junction is located at a most visible place. Statue of Yuri Gagarin is the identity of this well maintained peaceful place. Started as friendship center of Russia in India during early 80’s were popularly known for its Russian language institute till demolition of USSR. It was the first institution in Trivandrum which offers any foreign language to students. Government is still maintaining the place as Honorary Consulate of Russia which is popularly known as Russian Centre. Russian Centre is hosting many cultural activities which is open for public. Mr.Ratheesh Nair who worked hard to maintain this centre at Trivandrum is the present Honorary Consular and Director of Russian Centre.

A must visit place for all.....especially those who love art and theatre forms....have a taste to know about various aspects of Russian culture and heritage, festivals in Russia, interaction with the Russian community etc......Nice and neatly kept environment with helpful & informative staffs. Tickets & free passes for functions at this venue hosted by Russian artists are an added advantage of this place....loved this place & once u r at capital city please do visit this place of international importance.
