Topchanchi Lake - This lake was made in 1924. The manmade lake was built to supply drinking water in the neighboring areas. This Lake is a hotspot destination for both Humans and Animals alike! Topcanchi Lake is situated in Jharkhand. People who like spending time with nature can visit this place and feel relax. Here, you can see how still people worship trees and rocks which are traces of spirituality. The best part is, this is a human-made lake but nature has enhanced its beauty. During winters, many migratory birds visit this place. We ought to conserve our nature for other creatures and for our future. I just have one request whoever visits this place please don't through trash or plastic chips packets everywhere. it's my request only we can make our place beautiful, so if you are going for an outing, please carry your trash bag with you. Stay safe wear mask :)
The lake and it's surrounding beauty is unexplainable. Lots of migratory birds can also be seen. The towering Pareshnath peak in the background adds to the beauty of the place.
This place is located in the lap of nature. The lake is surrounded by mountains from three sides. There is a dam which is constructed in the period of british goverment. Most appropriate time to visit this place is in the month of November to January. In this period you can see many Siberia birds. Everything is so beautiful that you will fall in love with this place. But due to the negligence of government this place is loosing it's beauty day by day.
Beautiful Lake & amazing view of the lake but not recommended on New year day or such because of crowd. Go on a weekday & on normal (No holiday) to enjoy the lake. 1 km inside from GT Road (NH2) 4 wheeler - Rs 100 2 wheeler - Rs 20 entry fee.
Good place visit one time
Security is an issue. Goons and thugs block the area for photoshoots.
A beautiful place / lake for outing with family ,just 100 meter from GT road near Topchanchi Dhanbad. Surrounded with mountain and forest , Gomoh and Parasnath are the nearest railway station.
