It's a historical place. Fort is well maintained and very huge. Fort is surrounded by sea from three direction. You can reach to fort by car/vehicle. Sunset pics looks very beautiful and interesting here.

Cleanliness is appreciable. Fort is under archaeology department observation. Hope they will look into structural maintenance of few collapsed pillars. Guide is recommended for detailed ancient history of the fort. Guide is available in Rs.300.
Main capital of Aangre's Empire. Awesome structure with multiple layers of security. Has lots of secret doors and beautiful view of sea.
One of the very few forts in Konkan area which is very well maintained. Located on the peninsular area and gives a panoramic view of the sea from the tip. You need more than an hour to roam around the whole fort. Overall a great fort to visit and witness the amazing interlocking construction technique.

Too big to see all the features/aspects of the fort in one go.. We took guide who charged us 250/-(quite expensive for 2 people party). But we would have been better off without one.. Not huge value addition to the knowledge. We could have got the same info from just googling. No disrespect towards the guide. He tried his best. I would not recommend visitors to visit the place in summer
One of the greatest fort build by Raja bhoja II and was renovated by Shri Chatrapati shivaji maharaj and ruled by Sambhaji Angre. Place from where helium was discovered.
