It's good initiative by tourism department of Maharashtra for the people to get an Idea of mining, it's difficulties, problems faced by people working in mines. It's a great experience for people and also children. People can go into mines and watch the things with their own eyes. We have go into mine on man riding system for 15-20 mins to enter the mine. Nearby college come here for site visit ( mostly mining students of VNIT) There is park here which is made of disposed material from mines where people and children can relax have some fun time. Great tourist place.
