In Sama, we believe in a world free from hunger, poverty, discrimination and exploitation and we work towards an inclusive society by working with people with disability. We support education and medical needs of children with disability and also work towards making adults with disability self-reliant by economic empowerment and livelihood skills training. Most members of our team are people with disabilities who adequately illustrate that abilities can be achieved through education and right opportunities. Sama was established in 2005 to address the wide gap that exists in India where only 1% of people with disabilities received education (National Sample Survey Organisation 1991). The organisation continues to strive to achieve its objectives. Vision Sama Foundation aims to develop a society where ‘all are equal’ meanings all are free from Hunger, Poverty, Discrimination and exploitation. As a voluntary organisation Sama will be managed and its programs implemented by a team of people with disabilities.
