Amazing place to stay and meet new people. The host is super cool and they arrange various cultural activities every thursday and weekends. Stay in this hostel will definitely rejuvenate.. You get comfortable and peaceful stay for lesser than Rs. 500

Visited for the 31st Dec evening party. Had a nice western music orchestra and jamm session. Bollywood music was the best at its best.

This is gowtham from mohanam team. Proud to have a collaboration with your team. Also as a djumbe lover. We need rocking performances as last.

I went here in winter. It was not that cold, not that hot. Plus, you can meet many people from all around the world. If you need to save your budget, I strongly recommend this place. (Sleeping bag will be so helpful)

We went to African Pavilion to have their Taste of Africa lunch. Before we visited, I sent a message to the African Pavilion on Facebook to find out the timing of their lunch service and they responded promptly within 1 day with the requested information. The African Pavilion is located very close to the Visitors Center inside the Auroville area and they have a parking area for bikes. There is car parking nearby at the visitors center and then it is a less than 5 min walk to the African Pavilion gate from there. We were warmly welcomed. Their seating area is beautiful and comfortable. We chose to sit on the floor but there are also many tables with chairs. The table setting was lovely and a team member (Malcom) came to take our order. He explained everything on the menu to us in a prideful yet unpretentious and friendly way. We chose the Ethiopian meal (sourdough flatbread with vegetables) and the Sudanese meal (falafel wrap with vegan mayonnaise) and both meals were perfectly delicious and came in healthy portions. The kitchen is next to the seating area and we could smell the delicious food being prepared. The food was warm, fresh, and healthy. All the food is vegan. The meals also came with a fresh garden salad from their Mancala garden, which is on site. We also had the traditional ginger coffee which was perfect on the rainy day on which we visited. They also have a Ugandan hearty stew on the menu, which we did not have but I will try it in the future as I’m sure it’s just as delicious and filling as the other items we had. I will definitely be going to have their Taste of Africa lunch again as I’d like to try all the different things on the menu. I really loved the vibe of the place also. 5 stars! Peace, love, and Umoja!
