I’m sure this place is a little over priced and a bit of a tourist trap. Do your best to bargain and get a price you are comfortable paying for the pieces you select. That said, several years later I still love the vase and serving plate that I bought and get compliments on it - so in my mind it was worth it for the purchase. They did ship back to the US also as the pieces are heavy.

Typical Tourist trap that doesn’t even bother to try and make the “artisan tutorial” quasi in depth—it was maybe 2 minutes. Once inside, the owner is pushy and unwilling to compromise. I love supporting artists coops and often am Ok to slightly overpay if it’s going direct to the artists; but I also don’t think it’s a good spiritual Precedent to allow oneself to be taken advantage of for mediocre wares.its easy to find comparably beautiful marble work not only in Agra, but in many other travel destinations (Morocco, Italy etc).

Me and My Husband visited Marble Cottage during our Trip to Agra....we found this Marble Inlay Art Shop on Google and we also read all the Reviews on Trip advisor about Marble Cottage and Finally we decided to Purchase some Marble Products from this Store....And Finally we bought One Chess Board with Pieces and Two coaster Sets from this Store....And The Owner of this Shop Mr.\Mohammad \ he showed us how this work is done on the wall's of Taj Mahal...we really Recommend for this Shop....
