AURO BALA Crafts: CLASSY SHOP with GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY During our recent stay in Pondicherry ( 9/12/2017 - 21/1/2018) we went twice to this exquisite shop, situated in Kottakarai ,Auroville. The owner, Mr Raghavan is very friendly and professional. He took time to explain the organization of his little company and to show us his shop with an elegant exhibition room displaying magnificent lamp shades made with hand made paper mixed with banana leafs or coconut fiber in a variety of fabrics, designs and colors as well as other items. Very creative,beautiful and fitting in most houses. He also showed us the working place situated next to his shop where a group of ladies worked in ideal conditions. We purchased different lampshades and other items at a reasonable price. All very elegant and ideal gifts. We highly recommend this place Rolande and Jean-Paul Butzler,Knokke,Belgium
