Good place for small hiking. The beauty of sunrise will amaze you. I have seen people who did overnight camping ️. There are 2 ways to reach the peak. The shortest route is known to very few. The shortest path takes around 1km to reach the peak ( instead of taking normal route, go further 200-300m in Posadi gumpe road from Kumble. There is a mud road to the left which will lead you to peak)

Posadi Gumpe which is locally known as "Gumpe Gudde" [in Tulu & Kannada languages] where you can witness the spectacular views of surrounding hills. Posadi Gumpe is one of the good places to experience sunrise and sunsets in North side of Kasaragod district. Kerala. The location has shirt hike/trek of 15 minutes [easy-to-moderate]. Best seasons to visit : Rainy & Winter [June to January] Best time to visit : 06:00 AM to 08:00 AM & 04:30 PM to 07:00 PM No entry tickets as of now. No availability of public transport except buses here and there, good to travel in by private/own vehicles rather relaying on public transport/taxies here. Do carry water & food as needed. [Please keep the place clean & plastic free]
The best place ever seen. I travelled here with my friends . Enjoyed whole day. Better to go in early morning.
Posadi gumpe is an ideal one day picnic spot in kasaragod district located in Manjeshwaram. The hilltop offers a view of the Arabian Sea, Mangalore and Kudremukh. It's a monolith hillock situated at an altitude of 600m. Adventure,nature walk ,sightseeing,silence and trekking can be done here. The hill top view is stunning. Kasaragod and Mangaluru can be seen. 20-30 minutes is required for normally. Start the trek by 4PM evening so that one can enjoy the hilltop view and then the sunset view. Wear good shoes for trekking in the rocks . There are no shops or eateries anywhere in that region . So do carry water and food . Please do not dispose plastic.
No infrastructure facility. . No one is bothering to improve this place. Would have been a wonderful weekend destinations for family if proper ways have been provided!!!!! Wished our local bodies had an eyes to open!!!! Beautiful place
