The Theology Section of Carmelgiri Seminary, built by Bishop Stanley Roman, while he was the Rector of the Pontifical Seminary, Alwaye. This is a beautiful art piece on the shore of Periyar River. Here the students for Priesthood from the Roman Catholic Dioceses of Kerala stays and receives formation. The St. Joseph Pontifical Seminary, Carmelgiri has the history of more than 350 years, which was the realization of the Spanish Carmelite Missionaries in India.
