I recently moved my stuff from California to Bangalore through UR. Everything came intact as it was packed, on time. UR staff was professional, the charges were transparent, and there were no hidden charges. The entire door to door delivery was well taken care.

Don't trust all the 5-star reviews given by their own employees and friends here. We had the worst possible experience with these guys who broke half of our stuff while moving it from US to India and didn't even care to apologise even once for trashing our stuff.

Universal Relocation provided me the support to move from Tennessee, US to Bangalore, India during COVID times (Aug 2020) and I am fully satisfied with their services. My POC in the company was Khushali Dattani and she was very supportive in ensuring that the move date/time etc is adjusted based on our need specially as there was so much of flux in the travel restrictions from US to India. All our stuff arrived exactly (2 days later I think) on the date as they had initially informed and the local Bangalore person, Mr Neelakanta, was also very helpful in getting the clearance and moving the stuff to our house. Mostly all my stuff arrived fine except there was small damage in some plastic boxes that were piled on top of each other but all electronics and glass items etc are all intact. I guess the two packers, who came to our house, were super proficient and did a great job (note that I have moved twice to different continents so have experience of two other movers out of which one was as good as this one while other one was horrendous). I think what I appreciated the most was constant updates where I never had to call the team to check on the status of the packers, or shipment arrival date time etc. They were prompt enough to send me that information in advance keeping me posted on the move. So yes I would recommend them (as I have done recently to another friend of mine).

They lost one of my packages shipped from the US & I had to follow up with them for months before finally getting an answer that the package is officially missing. Not a very reliable company to ship bags unless you don’t care about the possibility of losing your bags.

I have sent my package from USA to Chennai during second week of Aug 2020 and it took almost mid November to reach chennai port. I got periodic updates on the shipment but as soon as it reached chennai process went slow. They never told me that I need to send my original passport during my enquiry but they asked me to send the original passport to clear the customs at chennai port . I hesitated first and make up mind and sent the passport . Took two weeks to get my passport back . Happy that I got my passport back without any damage . But still I am not sure if they have used it to process some other package to take out of customs. Then I got email saying customs was cleared and I need to pay additional fee ( no details on customs charges ) and just gave three days to make payment without any additional penalty. I made the payment by first week of dec 2020 . Still no updates on my package . When I called them they said one box is still on hold . I am really frustrated with their service . Still hoping my package will be delivered atleast by this year . Fingers crossed 12/25 - Got my package today . But the boxes are damaged. Yet to open all of them . Will check and update the status.

I shipped my stuff from US to India, and paid extra for Universal Relocations to pack my things. I paid extra for TV, they confirmed it will be put in a special wooden pallet, and handled carefully. Well TV came broken, it was very poorly packed in just a blanket and a box. The folks who opened the box were shocked at how badly it was packed. I didnt include Insurance just because they told me how careful they will be with the TV. Other things like Mirrors and picture frames were more carefully packed than TV. Very disappointed at the unprofessional and poor quality of service offered by Universal Relocations.

Just the thought of moving can make people cry - moving across countries is a whole different level. When I decided to move from Philadelphia to Bangalore, all I could think of was having to deal with dubious movers, hidden charges, lost / broken items, and pretty much a collosal waste of money. Little did I know, hiring Universal Relocations was the BEST decision! They came highly recommended and now I know why Right from the get go, Khushali, my move manager was fantastic. She was patient and explained the process clearly, and took the time to answer all my (sometime absurd) questions in as much detail as possible. Also, all fees and charges were communicated clearly and upfront, and no hidden charges and surprises. I would highly recommend taking her advise - and you will come out smiling, even if it will cost you a little more. She isn’t upselling - she is speaking from experience. Furthermore, I had to change my pack date last minute by a week due to a personal emergency, and they again patiently made the arrangements, on a Sunday!! The packers - Waz and team were also extremely professional and efficient. Again, they know what they are doing, and near zero damage is testamment to that. In Bangalore, Neelakanta and Vignesh took over my move. Customs, which I was extremely stressed about, went thru without a hassle. My shipment landed nearly to the day I was told it would. The unpacking and assembly process was also fantastic, professional and efficient. Both my TVs, my electronics, and crystal glassware made it - and I was amazed! Long story short, listen to the advice these guys give you - they have done this, and know what they are talking about. If you value your stuff, spend the money, get the insurance, get the full service. And let these guys do their job. Couldn’t have been happier with my experience, THANK YOU Khushali, Waz (and team), Neelakanta and Vignesh (and team).
