A worth visiting place. Their nurseries are superbly maintained. You can buy several species of wild and exotic plants.

It was founded in 1878 as the British Imperial Forest School by Dietrich BrandisDietrich. In 1906, it was reestablished as the Imperial Forest Research Institute, under the British Imperial Forestry Service and in 1991 it was declared deemed university Imperial. it's a remarkable place to spend few hours to know more about nature and British India time history.

Had been there several times. This time went to the nursery for the first time. Saw a rare flower. Don't know the name. Other than that the grand structure of it's central building is as always very attractive. My kid played in the long stretches of lawns and also played hide and seek in the corridors and behind the columns of the building. Each and every tree and plant in and around the building is so aesthetically placed, I find some overwhelming grandeur. This time also saw a Tribes of India outlet. Some of the items were really reasonable and the staffs were good..
