Dribble Academy Foundation (Reg No: 627/57/2017-18) uses sports as a medium to educate 200+ kids from Gheja Village, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. These kids come from weak socio-economic backgrounds where they face poverty and domestic violence and are at a huge risk of drug abuse, child labor, and exploitation. Kids, irrespective of their backgrounds, are full of energy. The conditions they are brought up in decide where that energy is put. At Dribble Academy we aim to channelize that energy in a positive direction through Basketball. The ball game gives them a platform to feel equal, elevated and confident. It teaches them life skills of managing adversity, challenging circumstances and fighting for a bright future. We also aim to take care of nutrition needs of these kids to eradicate malnutrition, a major reason for these kids to lack at school and eventually at other walks of life (currently we are catering to nutritional needs but are working on improving the funding). We also help them excel at academics by taking classes in English, Science, and Mathematics. We counsel them at school admissions and scholarship opportunities. Our aim is to provide these kids a much better stint at life, all this while having fun and spreading smiles.
