The co-founders, Mrs. Chandrika Thatai and Mr. Anoop Thatai are pioneers of textiles and co-founded Fashion Accessories together in 2000. A science post-graduate, Mrs. Chandrika also has a degree from NIFT. She started by creating a complete range of cotton bags, belts, and highly embellished accessories aimed at the UK and the EU market. The venture was an immediate and dazzling success, and she was soon joined thereafter by her husband Anoop, who was already established in the textile market. Mr. Anoop Thatai has a double Masters Degree in International Banking & Finance and Business Administration and ventured into the Cut and Sew Knitwear business in the year 1995 and before venturing into the home furnishing business. In 2000, they established and started operations from a garage and by 2002, had moved to a factory in the industry zone. By 2010, they had crossed the USD 10 million turn over. By 2012, there was an exponential growth of 65% year on year. They started state of the art green manufacturing facility covering 1,25,000 square feet. By 2015, FA has crossed turnover of USD 30million, implemented cloud ERP for efficient and lean management, started fair trade initiative, got a new display studio and collaborated with renowned textile conglomerates of the country. Home furnishings are textiles that are used to make a home look more beautiful. These include anything from Duvets, Pillows, Table Mats, Shams, Place Mats, Curtains, Bedsheets etc. These items add beauty and charm to a home; they can enhance stylistic choices made in other home furnishing items. They also add comfort and usability to a living space.
