The Kochi – Koottanad Bengaluru Mangaluru Pipeline network contract work is given to GAIL to transport the imported LNG from the LNG Terminal of Petronet to various Customers in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.) The first leg 444km long kochi - mangalore pipeline was launched in 2009 at an estimated cost of Rs2915cr and was to be commissioned on 2014 , but the delay escalated project cost to Rs 5750 crores . This line connects to 1)mangalore chemicals & fertilisers(MCF). 2)MRPL 3)0MPL The pipe line project was knows as KKBMPL ( kochi - kootanad ( Palaghat )- bangalore - mangalore - pipe line ) Kottanad in Palaghat is the main junction that bifurcates to Mangalore & Bangalore The second leg 620km( koottanad - bangalore ) is in progress . This line passes through valayar , Coimbatore , erode , Salem , tiripur , krisnagiri , Dharmagiri , Hosur ( 7 district in Tamil Nadu ) - Finaly bangalore . The whole work was done under the supervision of Gail general manager Tony Mathew hails from changanssery. The govt entrusted him with another project 1400km long Mumbai - Nagpur - gersuguda LNG pipe line

The place is wonderful. Full centralised A/C and most of the modern facilities are available. This RGMC has full control of gas transmission in Kochi. Beautiful place. I came here for an internship. Good service from the staffs.
