Near Gandhi Statue the signal is designed for blind people by making it an audio signal. We can hear the audio saying the signal is open for pedestrians and also tell when it closes. Not only blind are benefitted even ordinary people can also be alerted.

Great place to be in the early mornings. The amount of people who jog, train are huge. A wonderful place to jog or just calmly sit and enjoy the waves. Don't miss to see small crabs on the beach front. Ensure you reach before 6 am. Overall an enjoyable experience.

It is a beautiful beach, lying in the heart of the city of Chennai. There are both veg and non-veg food stalls nearby along with public convenience. It is a clean beach, with activities like horse riding etc. However, they should add some water sports, boat rides etc.
