Note:- I'll better suggest you to come bodh gaya in winter season not in the months between February and August... Note:- Stay aware from the local vendors around the tempels and the auto rikshaw drivers. Bodh Gaya means a lot of tempels of lord Buddha. The main temple is Maha Bodhi temple and other buddha temples are based on and represent the templels of different countries like china, mangolia etc....etc There's no worry about staying there u will get a lot of hotels near gaya railway station and all around around bodh gaya also...

Bodh Gaya is a village in the northeast Indian state of Bihar. Considered one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites, it's dominated by the ancient brick Mahabodhi Temple Complex, built to mark the site where the Buddha attained enlightenment beneath a sacred Bodhi Tree. A direct descendant of the tree sits within the complex today, along with six other sacred sites, including a lotus pond.

Tripadvisor It is the place where the historical Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, who attained enlightenment ... Well maintained historical site unlike other sites of Bihar/India. Must visit place once in a lifetime even for non Buddhist if looking for inner peace. Worth visiting in the morning when you can hear

Nice place to witness the history. Though the renovation work has taken out the classic look of the premises. It's good mix of spiritual and tourist place.
