Happily muddy to this place is my status update. Being an architecture student, I’ve always been keen on learning natural building techniques, methods and advantages. Attending a short workshop of 4 days at Geeli Mitti farms was an experience that has changed my perspective totally, I’ve definitely returned home with a bag full of knowledge and confidence. All my regards to Shagun ma’am and her team.

Words don't do justice to this place but I shall try. Geeli mitti is just not a place, it is an experience, a magical feeling. It is quite evident that the place is very scenic and serene. I would rather talk about the beautiful souls I met and the things I learnt. Shagun and her team are extremely compassionate and kindest humans. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. They create the perfect atmosphere for everyone to thrive, irrespective of your religious, political beliefs, lifestyles or eating habits. I am grateful to have attended a 19 day workshop and having spend 25 odd days at Geeli Mitti. One of the best times of my life. It was an enlightening experience. Of course, I learnt oodles of new things but it was more about "Unlearning" my past conditioning as a architect and rediscovering my building instincts as a human. Apart from learning the nuances of building with mud, I was awestruck by the way of teaching. It was crisp, entertaining and fun. Geeli Mitti is like a fountain of knowledge, the more you want to learn, the more they will put efforts to satiate your thirst and answer your queries. I came back with a loads of beautiful memories, new friendships and a lot of confidence to embark on my journey. I would definitely recommend you to visit Geeli Mitti if you want to learn natural building, meet top quality humans (and dogs), experience warm hospitality, eat great food, spend some quality time or just do nothing. Never think twice to attend a workshop. Just go, you won't be disappointed. I shall always remember Oct'2020. Thank you guys for everything. Until next time. Cheers!

I signed up for a "Becoming A Skilled Natural Builder in 3 Weeks' Workshop at Geeli Mitti earlier this year and the experience and people blew me away. I would highly recommend it! Shagun Singh, the Founder of Geeli Mitti, and her staff exude passion and empowerment in everything they do. Shagun's knowledge and ability to help you understand the concepts, all the while making it seem easy and natural to do, is no small feet. I learned so much being with her and didn't feel overwhelmed by the prospect of building a natural home, regardless of where one hails from. I would highly recommend her as a teacher and leader in this area. I can't say enough about her staff either - she truly surrounds herself with the best :) It is also important to note that I, along with 25 got 'stuck' at her farm through the original lockdown and she graciously kept us safe, well fed and in good spirits. She created and held a space that encouraged plenty of shenanigans, laughter, hard work, learning and expression of who each and every one of us is - I truly appreciated being there.
