The temples at Pattadakal are a "MUST VISIT ATLEAST ONCE IN A LIFETIME" kind of a place. This is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is one among the 8 in Southern India. They are very well maintained by the ASI.This is SUCH a historical place! It's a REAL beauty! The temples at Pattadakal open at around 10 in the morning, you will have to get online passes to gain access into this wonderful place. I suggest you take help of a guide to tour you around the temples out here. He'll charge you around Rs.400/- (varies upon demand) I guarantee you that you'll have a 10 times better experience! Also, keep in mind as to what time of the day you plan to visit, because afternoons are SUPER sunny and tiring. There are local hotels right outside, so if you feel hungry please feel free to go ahead and try the traditional North Karnataka dishes. They serve great food and the hospitality is just fabulous. So what are you waiting for?! Go right ahead and give it a visit! Happy touring

The place is specially known for historic monuments. The temples are if lord shiva. And sand stone is used. It requires a careful attention to preserve the monuments. As effect of wind, rain is directly affecting.

Amazing group of temples that are painstakingly restored by Archeological survey of India. Great cultural heritage of India. Recommended to avail Guide services (Rs 400) Also early morning is best time to visit considering crowd and light for photography.

Such a history place, best time to visit this place is in the winter season. Don't ever go there in the summer season because it's gonna be red hot, you won't get cool pictures, you'll be sweaty and the monuments will also be shiny in the sun. Better hire a guide so you can understand about the place thoroughly. I've had visited this place on Oct 14 2020. Checkout the pics.
