We took Enfield 500cc motorcycles from Himalaya Rides for a three weeks tour. All proceedings for the rent of the bikes from oversees (Israel) went smoothly with all questions answered promptly and helped offered in arranging the route (even though we asked only for bikes without guides). On arrival the bikes waited for us in excellent condition ready for the ride. After a few formalities we hit the road from Shimla on the way to Kinaur, Spiti, Manali, Dharamsala and back. The bikes endured Spiti roads better than we did. Few problems, specially with the racks that needed welding, but otherwise no mechanical problems. Thank you.

My friend and I from the UK hired bikes from Ishan at Himalaya Rides in May last year and had an amazing experience. I specifically wanted a 500cc Classic and my mate wanted the Himalayan (both Royal Enfields) and that's exactly what we got. My mates' bike was actually brand new!! They were brilliant on our journey across the Spiti Valley in the most extreme conditions and they didn't miss a beat. We were delighted with the bikes and the service we got from Isham at Himalayan Rides. He even sent us a map of the area here to the UK at his own expense before our trip and was happy to go out of his way to help us book aspects of our trip that needed an address in India. He also gave us sound advice to help us on our way and ensured we caught the right bus from Shimla for our journey back to Delhi airport. I truly memorable 2 weeks and at a very competitive price for the bikes which were amazing in that hostile terrain (see he photos!). I would have absolutely no reservation about recommending Ishan to friends and anyone who wants to tour this amazing area. Thanks Ishan. Bob from England

My trip with Himalaya Rides has been a week that I’ll never forget as it was an adventure filled with amazing views, lots of fun and new experiences. No doubt, Spiti Valley is a wonderful place. However, I can say that Himalaya Rides really made the difference for me. Himalaya Rides is a reliable and trustworthy organisation, run by passioned and fun people. Safety and customer-focus have a central position in their way of working. On top of that it’s about traveling together as friends instead of being guided by tourist guides. During my traveling around in India, I coincidently bumped into Puru, one of the drivers of Himalaya Rides. He invited me to join for a 7 day ride through Spiti Valley. Glad I accepted the offer! Puru would always guarantee my safety. Meanwhile, our interesting conversations about the places we visited, cultural differences and outdoor experiences really added up to my overal experience. Furthermore, Puru really anticipated upon our needs and wishes. For example, one day me and Puru went biking to different places high up in the mountains, while it was not part of our initial itinerary. Also, every accommodation was very well chosen for us as die-hard travellers: good enough for our comfort, but still very authentic, so that I, could feel like a backpacker instead of a luxury and lazy tourist. Also, after arriving at our final destination, I even got a free ride all the way from Manali back to Shimla. Spiti Valley by bike with Himalaya Rides has been a life changing adventure. They have brought us safely to the most deserted places with breathtaking views! But most important, with Himalaya Rides, friendships are made!

Such a great experience in working with Himalaya Rides!!!! The motorcycles were well maintained and in excellent condition, so that we didn't face any challenges from the bikes through out. Ishaan was very supportive and helpful throughout our trip. I would highly recommend Himalaya Rides for those who are looking for hiring motorcycles from Shimla.
