We booked rooms in Chatakpur, West Bengal. When we went there we found the rooms were not same as it was promised. The Dhanmaya homestay provided us two very small huts with thin wooden wall. Four thin blankets for 5 person. Geyser was not working due to low voltage. No hot water provided. Bathrooms were very small with only plaster flooring. Water was dipping from tin roof. In the name of evining snacks they provided only four pakoras (actually it was piyanji) per head.

So bad experience at Dhanamaya Homestay in Chatakpur. We have booked through HolidayhomeIndia personal for 5 persons as 1400/- per day per head (Total 14700/- in 2 days) with basic amenities like geyser, room heater, sufficient rags, sufficient space & Kanchanjunga view rooms at that homestay. They have promised for above basic amenities through 3-4 times during several conversations, even before reached. They gave us 2 very small rooms with very bad bathrooms (dropped water from roof, no hand soaps, towels etc), 4 thin rags for 5 persons, no room heater & no hot water (after repeatedly asked). They have given evening snacks only 4 very thin & small mula-piyajys for each person. We have not slept whole night due to very much cold as room conditions so bad, no sufficient good quality rags, no room heaters. Not used toilets due to no hot water. They have geyser but not worked and they not gave us hot water after repeatedly asked for geyser facilities. We have 2 days booking but after 1 night stay we leave the Homestay. Before leaving, we told all the matter to HolidayhomeIndia & also the owner of Dhanamaya Homestay, but they not given any solution, even both have said that you may leave after given rest amount of booking i.e 4000/- (we gave 10700/- in advance while booked at near about 2 months back). We have asked another homestays tourists at upper portion from this homestay they given hot water to them. We have never never never experienced like this time. That was soooo horrible... So book the homestay through reputed person or reputed agencies.

Bad experience in chatakpur homestay... By holiday home india.. wrong information given us.. we are booked for 2 days.. but stay only the first day.. then check out on next day..

We stayed in chatakpur Darjeeling dhanmaya home stay.temperature was 2 degree outside.no room heater no geyser.we froze in cold.food very average. Horrible experience.
