Hostel Salwoods is located in Dehradun, India on Near Petroleum University, Village - Bishenpur-Kandoli, Post-Bidholi, Via, Prem Nagar. Hostel Salwoods is rated 3.8 out of 5 in the category boys hostel in India. Hostel Salwoods is located in cool tranquil and peaceful atmosphere about and a half kilometers from University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Bidholi Dehradun and caters to the accommodation and food requirements of discerning students. The management of Salwoods is done by a senior owner couple who live in the same complex and eat the same food as cooked for the residents. Salwoods is a small hostel catering to just 42 students due to which generatesa personal touch and a peaceful atmosphere conducive to studies.We provide spacious and comfortable double and triple sharing rooms with attached bathrooms. Each room is fully furnished with box beds mattresses almirahs study tables and chairs. Bathrooms are equipped with geysers which are operational during winter months (15th October to 15th March). Sumptuous and delicious vegetarian meals cooked in a hygienic kitchen are provided in the attached spacious mess which also has a lounge large screen TV and a TT table for recreation. Cool and filtered drinking water is available through a water cooler.Although at a walking distance from UPES free transport is provided to residents at fixed timings in morning and evening. The hostel has a spacious well manicured landscaped lawn for relaxation.

Mr Rakesh Sharma and Ashok purohit pls stop writing fake reviews on other hostel pages.. I understand you guys work for Tandon ji ND u have to justify ur job. But these unethical practices won't get u anywhere.. Please check the screenshots ND see that these two guys have written review on other hostel pages one after the other.. ND one more thing they have given best review to Hostel Salwood ...Hahaha... I also how the students staying in Hostel Salwood but I won't stoop to such level of writing fake reviews... Do check the screenshots.

Worst hostel and wastage of money! Just money minded owner and unhygienic mess conditions! 90 percent of the comments are either fake or being forced to write good about the hostel. Cockroaches and insects can be seen in a regular basis in food!

Hostel Salwoods is one of the WORST Boys hostel to stay in, I have stayed in this hostel for the past 3 years. Mr. Tandon ( the owner of the hostel ) maintains record for each student, you may enquire about me from him itself. Adarsh Rai, sunil sajwan, Rakesh sharma, vimal sarin - reviews given by these people are all FAKE!!. These people have not stayed in Salwoods. I wonder how could someone steep so low, just for some good rating and reviews! I will tell you the REALITY OF SALWOODS! Mr. Tandon is a money minded person, all he cares about is MONEY, several time’s during dinner he visits the hostel DRUNK. This year ( 2018 ), about 15-20 students are leaving the hostel, just to not let them go – He ( Mr.Tandon) made a call to one of my Junior’s ( 1st Year) father, and said students often do drugs after leaving hostel and convinced his father to make that student stay for one more year!! That student wanted to change the hostel and now he is stuck!! One of junior (2nd year), when that guy was searching for some good boys hostel, landed up in Salwoods by making an online payment as the REVIEWS and RATINGS were too good, but he didn’t know that were all FAKE. Reviews by Utsav Goel and Stavan are by the student’s who have really stayed in Salwoods – but Mr. Tandon has forced them to review good about the hostel. You may wonder why did I stayed in Salwoods for 3 years then, the answer is just because of FRIENDS, I made some really good friends that’s all. I have attached some picture’s of Salwoods mess, the place where the plates are washed, such unhygienic environment. So, please visit each hostel carefully and do not trust the sweet words of the owner. In case you feel this a fake review ask about me, from the cook, 2nd , 3rd or 4th year students they all know me very well. Thanks!

Very nice hostel and definitely a home feel atmosphere. One of my friend stayed there and gave very positive review. Quality of food is very good and healthy. Rooms are very hygienic and maintained well. They are taking good care of students. Good work Hostel Salwoods and a must recommend anytime!!

good home like food, discipline, family type atmosphere and responsive management. My brother stayed here and both he and our parents were happy. It's like a 'home away from home'. Compliments to them and lucky we booked early else, would have missed to get a seat as it got filled up fast. Keep it up hostel Salwoods!!
