Very important place from weather monitoring point of view. But only one main branch is not sufficient enough. It is mandatory to have well spread automated ground based weather monitoring instruments throughout the city and surrounding of dehradun and controlled as well as operated from IMD. Training programs should be initiated for better awareness. Location of this IMD is not sufficiently signify the climate of this city. So a well network is required.
