One of the beautiful and famous fort in Chandagad taluka of Kolhapur District. Trekking difficulty is moderate to average. Road is proper that even you can ride your bike or car on top of the fort. To reach your you've to have your own vehicle as public transportation is not that good in this area. How to reach - From Chandgad - It is around 20-25 km via Here Motanwadi road. From Belgaum - around 60 km via Patane phata road. There is not food or water available on fort so carry enough snacks and water. On top there is Temple, remainings of fort wallls and one well of ancient times.

Perfect weekend outing 35km from belgaum u can go on top by car only suvs or park uer car at kalwade village and walk 4 km to top or u can track through different route one and half hour to reach on top no food n tea water available on top
There are two ways one way is flown in water and other is alternative local way better to go in winter or early Morning not best time to hike in rainy season because you are not prepared Fort is great in foggy days or winter days for better experience sometimes due to military practice we are not allowed to visit the fort most of the times the practice is in rainy season You have to carry your own food and hike 3329 foot vertically up from local way you have to manage parking area because there is no car parking area you have to park in village carry water and food because it's gets hard to hike if it's rainy season
Kalanandigad fort it was best trecking journey in my life. There is a two route to go there in which one is by two Wheeler or by four wheelers or who wants to treck u can go by shotcut rod.... Minimum 1 km treck is there only after reching there in fort there is a two doars ganesh darwaja and palkhi darwaja and too many point to see there. Side area is always clean and not crowded. This fort is very beautiful . Aesthetic look is very appealing . Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj built this fort for observing enemy's behaviour . From top you can see many lakes , percolation tanks and Jangamhatii Dam . Climate is very cold and windy in any season . On top there is a temple and ancient timed well . Good place for photography . Snakes can spotted easily . And no scope for bird photography at all . Very loving place.
