Amazing atmosphere, great crowd friendly staff and mind bending music

New kid on the block. I went there on google recommendation about local happenings. It turns out that they had a nice jazz band from Delhi performing at the venue. There was cover charge of 400 that I paid and took last remaining seat available. The food was delicious but portions were awfully small. There was no liquor service. The manager explained that they are still in process of getting liquor license. Overall good experience.

I was just passing through town and lucked upon Skinny Mo’s. It is a top class Jazz establishment. Everyone there is very genuine and united by their love for jazz and curiosity for its potential directions. There was a real genuine celebration of the music. I will defiantly go back not just for the music but also for the conversations and the character of the place.

Skinnymo's is probably the best place in Calcutta right now for some great music. Of all the venues in town I've never seen the crowd be so attentive and respectful towards the musicians. Hats off to the owners and organisers. Hope to be a part of many more great nights. Cheers!
