What you can think off, is a homely place, where you can visit the passing traffic through the transparent glass pane, and a spoon of delicate and no-nonsense food. Be it the throwback to the ‘Biyebari’ type Polaos, to the Dhaba styled Kebabs, this place has them all. A casual place to have your lunch or dinner or even a comforting evening snacks, try their rustic and earthy Manchow Soup, where the crispiness of the noodles would be a perfect pair to the tang of the flavourful broth. Munch on the Tandoor Aloo, which has an optimum filling of a minced mixture, and with the coriander dip will tantalize your tastebuds. The Paneer Tikka Kebab or the lovely Seekh Kebab, these would be the perfect starters to begin your meal, before moving on to the wonderful maincourse, where dishes like Murgh Kolhapuri and Jhalfrezi would await you patiently. The Murgh Kolhapuri, a lovely throwback to the Kolhapur region of Maharashtra, had that lovely zing of the chillies, while Jhalfrezi was simple and rustic. Pair these with the Tandoor Roti or the simple and delicious Kashmiri Pulao. Spice Route in Kalikapur is a new place with much good food to offer. From Tandoor to Mughlai, they have it all. I was invited by @konizfoodwheels and @whenstomacktickles to taste dishes from their menu. We started with the Manchow soup. I am not a huge fan of soups, but i liked the slightly peppery hot dish. In starters, we tried the Tandoori Aloo, Panner Tikka Kebab, and Seekh kebab. The paneer tikka had some fresh paneer which took up some flavours from the marinate and even after the tandoor, it was soft. The seekh kebabs are tricky, as most would agree could be dry and chalky cardboard after the tandoor. However, this one was soft on the inside and one could get the flavours from the spices. For Main Course, we had Murgh Kohlapuri, Paneer Jhalfrezi, Tandoori Roti and Kashmiri Pulao the Kolhapuri was delicious and the Kashmiri Pulao was perfect with it. The Tandoori Roti was also soft when we had it. We ended our tasting with some Vanilla Ice-cream. Much Recommend: Paneer Tikka kebab, Murgh Kolhapuri and Kashmiri Pulao

The place is located at kalikapur Coming to the food, we ordered Manchow Soup Seekh kebab Murgh Kohlapuri Jhalfrezi Tandoori Roti After taking the first bite of it with the tandoori roti, we are some kind of lost in paradise. How can a item be so perfect. I had a great experience. This is a must try all north Indian & Punjabi food lovers.
