This is an amazing place. Quite informative for people who have interest in nature and wild life. Its a must see place for travellers on EC highway. It also runs a co operative for Irula community (Snake catchers) who come there to sell there catch. The Snakes of “big four” family are kept here and are “milked” for their venom. The live show of “milking” the snakes is a must watch program. The park is well kept and is quite shady.

A nice place especially for the kids & students to know about various crocodile & tortoise species. The entrance for adult is Rs. 100 and child is 50 (up to 10 years). 3 hours is more than enough to visit the entire park. Eateries is available inside the park where you can get only snacks, hot & cool drinks. Car parking is limited, but can be managed to park on one side of the service road. A suitable place to spend with family for half a day.

Its one of the best weekend spot for animal lovers. It has varities of crocodiles and also other reptiles which includes komado dragon, snakes, alligators. The entry ticket is Rs.100 for adults. The best time to visit is between 3-5 PM. You can see crocodiles in action during the feeding time.

One among d tourist places in Chennai. Entry fee was 100 rupees fr adults and 20 rupees fr parking. I was able to encounter few rare species of turtles n tortoises n few species of crocodiles n few reptiles... The place is being recreated and also few new stone benches were installed fr d visitors to take rest. They are privately owned and running by trustees... Donations are welcomed, as it was privately maintained place.

Very nice place to spend 2-3 hours. Introduce crocs and snakes to kids, they will enjoy. Good COVID 19 precautions are in place. You have a convenient and souvenir store inside. Rest rooms too are available. Every Monday is a holiday. So you can stop by on all other days.

The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Centre for Herpetology (or Croc Bank) was the brain child of the legendary Romulus Whitaker and a handful of like-minded conservation visionaries who began work on the facility in 1976, in a desperate effort to save India’s dwindling crocodilian populations. Today, after more than 30 formidable years of cutting edge science and grassroots education, the Croc Bank remains a world leader in the field of frontline conservation and the preservation of natural landscapes. The Croc Bank currently consists of a large reptile park near Chennai, Southern India, and several field projects located throughout the subcontinent reaching as far afield as the Nicobar Islands. The zoo sees close to half a million visitors per year making it one of the most popular tourist attractions along the famous East Coast Road.

They are doing great work of informing and educating people about the many species of Crocodiles. A wide range of species and specimen are at display. The enclosures provide a good view but are safe at the same time. Definitely reccomend this place to visit. Especially if you can go with children and dhare the fascinating educational experience.

We can see multiple species of crocodiles. They collect Rs.100 as entry fee. However it would have maintained little more clean.
