The site of world importance, currently at it's worst. But of course, it indeed is one of the best destinations in Raebareli. Bring some food for Birds and Dogs while visiting here. Pros : Conducive ecosystem for migratory birds. 'Good to get your kids' place. At 'Birds Explanation Centre', the map demonstration is great and there's an amazing collection of books related to Birds, reptiles, etc. Availability of boats (good for bird watchers) Bird watching towers are available. Cons : Bumpy roads to reach the sanctuary. Even inside the sanctuary, there were places without roads at all. Lazy Staff towards visitors. That one lady at 'Birds Explanation Centre', she wasn't good at what she has been assigned to do. No guide to tell you about what is sanctuary for, I mean 'The Birds'. High entry and vehicle parking charge. 30 for adult visitor and 100 for car parking. No canteen or anything else, but dustbins are available. ____________________________________ Further developmental changes might change the scenario. So please check it with the date you thinking to visit. - February, 2021

You can very well smell the corruption at various levels. Be it wastage of public money, quality and condition of sanctuary's infrastructure and misuse of government financial grant. Looks like the entire money is going into the personal bank accounts of the concerned govt personnels. No maintenance, no visitor service, no sanctuary staff (except at the gate for collecting fees), rottening ponds, large brazen lands not suitable for any ecosystem, broken and terrible roads. Each section of the sanctuary's infrastructure tells it's own tale how once a visionary project had been brought to dust by govt employees using corruption and more corruption.

Found the Bird sanctuary without Birds, parking for car 100, Road condition is too bad as never maintained since built. boat are available but no boating staff.. only one member is looking after all sanctuary just to collect entry fee and parking fee Please don't go... If want to spend time .. please spend some where else.

Although recognised as Ramsar Site of International Importance, it is not properly maintained. Bird Count Center was empty. No one was there. Admiration must pay attention to protect it.

Very poor maintenance of whole visiting area and as well as connecting roads. There was no drinking water arrangement. both side lake are also very dirty and approx 20% area are covered with water hyacinth (Jal Kumbhee). Birds are available but not clearly visible as they are in mid of lake. There is no dust bin , people were throwing unused/ wests openly. Total westage of time and petrol.

Bird sanctuary but no birds at all. Good place from view point, surrounded by lake. If want to come, come from picnic point of view and bring lunch, other playing stuff with you. Place does have children park with swings and sliders but no eateries at all. Ticket money Rs 30 each adult (parking extra) does not worth any penny. DON'T VISIT IN SUMMERS AT ANY COST.
