Travelled from Mumbai to Mandwa/Alibag by M2M Ferry, and this is the place I got down. Terminal has small convenience shops in Exporting Containers. Belgium waffels was closed due to Covid19. Terminal and the Staff were quick and helpful. A rikshaw halt point is available for local commuting on island.

Welcome to M2M Ferry service Mumbai 2 Mandwa and Mandwa 2 Mumbai. Huge and Spacious terminal to cater large number of passengers and vehicles. Imagine your vehicle traveling along with you in the Ferry. Just book and go and see the possibility. Well managed by staff at each point to Board you safely in the ferry. Let's come inside and take a look personally.

Clean place with 3 jetty options. Easy to travel to and fro from Mumbai. Although the M2M ferry is far better than this. The boats are overcrowded specially in this pandemic. So personal opinion is to avoid. It brings you back to gateway so again an easy option to get back to Mumbai suburb. The last jetty is at 7:30 pm to Mumbai so plan accordingly

The Air Conditioned catamaran is comfortable and much faster than the ferries. On the weekend it is sold out so an advance reservation is recommended. The return trip is harder to book, so make sure you can get that before you book the trip to Mandwa/Alibaug. The regular ferries will give you a crowded, bumpy and slow ride and I would only use it at a last resort. From Mandwa Jetty to Alibaug you have to take a bus ride, whose cost is part of the ferry ticket. Bumpy and dusty it is recommended you do NOT do this unless you have something particular planned in Alibaug. Just enjoy the views of the city from the sea, eat and drink at one of the restaurants at the jetty itself. Boardwalk by Flamboyante one of the more popular restaurants on the jetty will require an advance reservation.

This is a better terminal than the Bombay one. Ths waiting room is much more cleaner and spacious. Only thing is it requires more couches and sitting facility.
