Good content and exhibitis. Though not very big, a visit will tell you more about Manipur, its people and past. It isn't very crowded either and situated just beside the polo ground.

This state run museum is just two km away from Imphal Airport and near the pologround. Mobile and camera are not allowed so that photos of the interior is not available. It displays the rich cultural heritage of the tribes and kings in Manipur in ancient era.

Having situated at the heart of Imphal city, transportation to this place is at ease. Entry ticket is 10 Rupees per individual and trust me, it is totally worth visiting it. It is closed on Mondays and on 2nd Saturdays of the month. I have uploaded a picture depicting the same for your reference. You get to explore a lot about the Manipuri culture and it's history in this museum. Additionally, a gamut of exhibits will enhance your knowledge be it archaeology, biology, numismatics, history, tradition and culture of states of India, manuscripts and much more. You need to give atleast an hour to view and read everything diligently. You will be enthralled by the variety of exhibits and the information they posses. Photography is prohibited inside the museum. However, you are allowed to take snapshots outside the building.
