Best place to avoid city nuances. Place for bird-watching and mangrove forest. Great outing, peaceful surrounding, away from city. You won't feel like you are in middle of a City.

Excellent place for bird watching both waders and grassland birds...now a safer area as there are forest guards...

Superb place for a scenic getaway in Mumbai. A visual treat for bird watchers! Prefer coming early in the morning here.. as time adds it's own beaty to this place. There is boating facility available in the creek nearby (offline booking). There is an entry fee to this place for your vehicle and per head. ( Rs. 50 per head and Rs. 100 for vehicle) 1 Con: There is a stagnant water body nearby this place which adds up to a very bad smell (until you get used to it). That's why 1 STAR Less!

If you are lucky, you can see flamingos here.If they are away, inside the water then can be seen only by binoculars or any good camera

This used to be a great place. But, over the last few years, the number of irresponsible visitors has increased a lot. Lot of plastic lying around and people making a lot of noise. The number of birds has decreased drastically. Some smart folks have started clearing the mangroves in the name of forest restoration.

Not a great spot.. Let me clear this This place is not a sanctuary.. But the place has nice greenery around.. But the problem is they are charing Rs 50 per head.. Which i actually feel is complete waste.. But hey if u come by 6 the entry is free from 6-8Am BUT ONLY ON WEEK DAYs (Mon- Fri).. Whereas on weekends they charge u anytime u visit When it come to the place its quite silent U can enjoy the place.. One more thing u need binoculars to spot the flamingos... Otherwise u will always spot crows, pigeons, ducks or may be swans..
