Focused... only way to describe this place. ONE outlet. Serving just TWO items... Jalebi n Fafda. ...for over a HUNDRED YEARS!!! Thats Mumbadevi Jalebiwala for you. Located next to Mumbadevi Temple in Kalbadevi, been churning out mouthwatering Jalebis made in Pure Ghee thru the day, down the years from their small humble shop which can barely seat about 20. Theres no menu card nor a word spoken. Just walk in, take a seat and you are instantly served a plate of fresh piping 4/5 Jalebis n Fafdas. Max turnaround time is 5-6 mts as wave after wave of faithfuls silently wade in and out all thru the day. In full view near the entrance, the Maharaj (Chef) can barely keep up with the unending stream of customers who want to eat this delicacy and take away too! Unchanged since they opened in 1897, its only recently that the 4th Generation of owners opened new outlets (4 as of now) in the suburbs, and thankfully, just like them, quality remains unchanged!
