Excellent location for true nature lovers. Large area in the middle of wilderness. Heard, lot of peacock 'Meaow' and also the alarm calls of spotted deer and neel gai who may have spotted a predator in nearby forest. AC Cottage are the best. Also they have AC DBR adjacent to canteen. Food is ok but there are lot of space to improve the quality and taste. We contacted local guide Mr. Subham who is an excellent fellow, very knowledgeable about wildlife and sanctuary.you must reach very early in the morning for jungle suffary in summer season. the best part of this jungle is the size is mere 16 Km and there are so many wild animals that you will not be disappointed anyways.We got to see so many peacocks,nilgais , sambar, parrots and spotted dears.Also got to see a pack of wild boars and couple of Eagles. No carnivores this time though. But if u are lucky U cud spot a tiger/leopard along the banks of bor dam reservoir,as the safari route runs parallel to the reservoir for many kms. If nothing else you can enjoy the scenery Bor dam reservoir and hills in the background. There are only 15 gypsies and 20 entries are allowed.So along side online booking U better book gypsy in advance from any agent/gypsy owner. This should be kept in mind when booking during peak seasons/holidays.
