I took part in an online IMUN Conference two weeks ago. This was my first time participating in an online model United Nations and I'm glad I did. This virtual conference had everything you could possibly hope for in a model UN session. Great topics, eager participants, insightful position papers and the excitement of reaching resolutions! And all from the comfort of my home. I have to say, the only good thing of this pandemic, has been finding IMUN Online. They are conducting online IMUN sessions every week and I will definitely sign up for more. Highly recommended.

I just finished a 5-week student ambassadorship with IMUN. And let me begin by saying, it was NOTHING like any of the internship programmes I have done. IMUN sets the ball rolling right from the first day! You are out there, not just seeing how work happens but actually doing it. It's called a hands-on experience for a reason. You are talking to potential participants, handling daily marketing material, promoting IMUN across various channels. But you are also learning valuable teamwork and leadership skills, stuff people learn only after 4-5 years of work. I now feel equipped to join the professional world.

I have been working with IMUN for nearly 2 years. Working with IMUN has its advantages as well as challenges. It has the market strength of an MNC but the agility of a startup. I have learned a lot in my job and these are learnings that I will carry forth in my life. Pros: Firstly, IMUN never treats you as a junior. The organisational system is flat which makes every person responsible for their jobs. This leads to more transparency, fluidity and efficiency. The lack of hierarchy and open-door policy means that everyone's ideas are heard and respected. Con: They are growing rapidly which means there's a little work pressure. But they are also hiring to tackle this.

I did the IMUN student internship programme for 5 weeks and learned so much! There's the working of an international organisation like the International Model United Nations but there's also the day-to-day organisational aspects you learn. Marketing, social media, talking to participants, organising the next Conference...you get to do everything! It's such hands-on knowledge and it stays with you forever. Now, I will never be taken by surprise when I join an organisation...I already feel like I know so much. Special thanks to the IMUN team that made me feel like I was one of their own.

IMUN has been a game-changer for my higher education plans. I started attending MUNs as a secondary year student. But when the pandemic hit, all on-ground activities were cancelled, without further notice. But then, IMUN launched IMUN online. A model UN Conference EVERY WEEK. Complete with topics on the pandemic, and the very relevant UN Sustainable Development Goals. So, I could continue building my MUN skills - diplomacy, team leadership, resolution-building and collaboration from the comfort of my home. And get UN-approved certificates, as a result! These certificates don't just look good on my LinkedIn profile; they also completely alter my higher education application. If you want to get easy, better access to work or higher education opportunities, do consider registering for an IMUN Conference.
