Odia Samaj is a society, registered in Delhi, has been working towards bringing together the Odia community in Delhi-NCR region. It organizes functions like “Odisha Parba” bringing together the art, culture, dance, music, food, etc. here in Delhi where you participate and feel the pride of being an Odia while you are away from home. The feeling of brotherhood among us coupled with supporting and peace loving nature of our fraternity, hard working instinct and living in a diverse cultural environment spreading from Koraput in the south to Rourkela in the north to Cuttack in the middle to Balasore in the east. We miss every bit of Odisha while working 15 hours a day here in Delhi NCR. Odia Samaj is launching a campaign to connect to all our Odia brothers and sisters staying in Delhi NCR region thus bringing them under one platform where we can have get-togethers, share our problems, create our own social security network of support for each other, etc. As an Odia in Delhi-NCR, we often have a feeling “I don't belong here”, this is my working place but my home is there in Odisha while unknowingly living our entire lives in this region. The idea of Odia Samaj is to bring about the change in the feeling among all of us by bringing us together. Let us get our friends and family to register with Odia Samaj through our campaign officers to build this database of Odia Fraternity thus enabling a movement for the first time in this region to tell our friends from other fraternity that “WE ARE TOGETHER”.
