The Tetra EXi electric wheelchair of Ostrich Mobility that I have been using for about last three and half years has become more of a liability than support to me. Both the motors and gears had to be changed. Bearings and joystick cable had to be replaced. The first set of batteries (four in number) had to be replaced after 27 months of use for a total sum of Rs. 26000, whereas wheelchair batteries should last for at least 60 months. The new batteries came with six months of warranty. However, they didn't last for more than three months. They were replaced free of cost. But more surprisingly the replacement batteries (all four) also didn't last for more than three months. The batteries have already been replaced three times within warranty. The fourth set is now a little over three months old and they are dying down after around 300 meters of driving and almost empty batteries are charging hardly for one and half hours. Ostrich Mobility extensively tested my wheelchair keeping in their workshop for several days, but could not find why batteries are not lasting (I regularly charge for the whole night). Despite repeated complains for last one month they are killing time by nice talking but not replacing the batteries as if the fault is mine. I am severely mobility impaired and completely dependent on this wheelchair even for going to toilette. Ostrich Mobility must understand that nice talking is not enough, it must be more accountable to its customers, whose critical support equipment are the object of its business. I lived and worked abroad. German and American wheelchairs are far more reliable.

Bought Tetra Exi for my cousin. Writing the feedback on behalf of him. The product is amazing. He is using it like a toy. Exploring all the neighbouring places by himself. This product has the capability to handle any terrains in our roads. We tested many wheelchairs ; imported ones from (Tahiland , Germany and US) and Chinese makes. None of those could perform the way Tetra Exi performed. I think they are the only manufacture in India. All others are traders. Highly professional team. After sales service is commendable. They deserve a thumps up. Worth trying these guys.
