Atmosphere was good, however due to rain not able enjoy peddle boat and kayaking. Safety measures for speed boat was very poor , negative rating. No lifejacket provided for adults and even for kids for speed boating. Tea and snacks were below average. Fish catching (choonda) materials were below average. For adults who can't walk longer is not suitable this place. Kids playing materials not maintained periodically. Entry point, they were talking lot of attractions, but no one will guide at the visit station. I feel the co- operation was not good from the staff at visit area. However the location is good if they improve the way of working and amenities

It's not the best but a good place to spent weekend with family......evening time is the apt hours of the day to spent time here and do kayaking, pedal boating, etc.....it's better to take tickets when u visit rather than by online early, there are much more cheaper packages available than the tharagani package......food was just average.......speed boating was below expectations and also the shikari boat was so old and rusty.......
We took the "Tarangini" package Farm manager was patient and answered all our queries and provided detailed information. Staff made us feel comfortable with stay I would say this place is hidden gem. Backwater ride, row boating, pedal ride, Fishing, Cage culture and scenic lake view are few highlights. Breakfast, Lunch and snacks were good.
Cool and silent place. Prebooking needed if you plan a full day there including lunch and tea with snacks.Boating, fishing, swings are available. This place is a village area with fresh air and greenary. Its in development stage. This place is in Kattikunnu, which is at the border to Ernakulam district. And the actor Mamooty's native place Chempe is near by. A good picnic spot for family getogether.some resorts are also near by.
Whether you want to go on a one day outing with your kids and family, it's a great place for gigantic fisheries meals, boating, kayaking, swings, baiting, lots of kids' rides and evening tea and snacks, all for Rs 400 per person (including all). If food is not available, it will be reduced accordingly. No tickets for children under 10. Located at a distance of 22 km from Ernakulam, it is close to copper on the Vaikom route - Palakkari Aqua Tourism is close to Ernakulam but it is actually part of the Kottayam district. It is very spacious and has acres of land so it doesn't feel crowded no matter how many people come. Lunch fish are reared here and there is a specially set up area in the lake for rearing fish. An island-like place with water on both sides is a great option to spend evenings with the family, with only working hours here until 6pm. No need to book in advance, just go directly and pick up the ticket.
Wonderful place. Ideal for groups. The best- cost effective back water tourist spot. Tasty food too.... Would like to come again and again....
