Parvat Ki Goonj is an avant-garde media project to revive the dying folk music of Himachal Pradesh. It aims to document, archive and preserve the Himachali folk music culture by creating an awareness and a community around its conservation. It does so by using a video series to bridge the gap between tradition and modernity, between heritage and globalization, between past and the present. We believe that the folk artists need their voices to be heard and we can get them the recognition they deserve. We share stories about their music, culture and assist them in making their voices heard.
