Yesterday we have been to this planetarium. The show they played was Back to the moon for good. This is a show that's 3 years old and it's available in YouTube as well. The show is not at all informative. It's an advertisement by Google about their plan for lunar exploration. Children and their parents are like talking loudly while the show was on. Patrons need to be informed to be silent. Show was started 20 min late as well. I think the regional science centre director or manager doesn't know that the old show is still being played in the planetarium!!!! Sir please concentrate on your exhibits and the planetarium!!!

Entry fee 30 and planetarium fee 30, the gardens around these buildings are nice, the science museum is not as good as the Birla ones. Some of the exhibits are not working, the planetarium is a small one maybe 30 people can sit at the max. The Show was supposed to start at 4:30 pm but was started at 4:55 pm due to people who bought the tickets were still roaming outside. The show that was being played was not at all informative! BACK TO THE MOON FOR GOOD! This was the video that was being played. It's available on YouTube as well! Read about the show below; After the Space Race of the 1960s, interest in the Moon quickly waned. The Google Lunar X Prize is hoping to change that, reinvigorating interest in Moon exploration and colonisation. This time, however, it's different. A 30 million dollar prize is being offered to all citizens of the world, not governmental space corporations, for achieving a successful Moon mission. The initiative is designed to instil a new generation with the wonders and importance of space travel and exploration. The criteria for winning the prize will involve landing a module on the surface, travelling at least 500 metres, and returning HD images and videos back to Earth. Established in 2007, the mission deadline has been extended to December 2017, with three teams still in contention as of 2016: SpaceIL, Moon Express and Synergy Moon. A 24-minute fulldome planetarium show, "Back to the Moon for Good", chronicles these teams' efforts as they compete for the coveted prize. The above show is just about Google's plan for exploring the moon. The crowd is not being informed to maintain silence. Every one was talking, phones were ringing etc. For better planetarium experience visit the Birla ones at Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad!

Nice place to visit after the darshnam. Both for kids and adults. I enjoyed finding out my age on other planets (there is a dedicated computer for this.) Planetarium was good but needs to update the show with more information and education from other random stuff. Well manicured gardens.
