I started my first job right here. Being at the southern most point of Colaba as well as Mumbai makes it one of the most beautiful and tranquil place. Although buildings in the office is not as par with the Navy buildings in the surrounding. But the canteen inside the office is quite cheap and offers great food. Everytime I am in the Mumbai I go there I just fill up my belly. It being a government office is not open for general public but u have any query regarding weather phenomena u can go there and have related information. Being a met employee I have high value for this place and people working in this office.

People actually remember this Dept (IMD) or waits eagerly towardsi heavy rainfall warning only during MONSOON SEASON. The dept is really working hard towards to achieve maximum benefits towards human being by predicting weather .So many other govt . Dept and now days disaster management aagency totally depends upon it and on there forecast they stand still before any disaster happened . SO HATTS OFF TO SUCH DEPT

It's a namesake place..Where work doesn't happen..It always makes wrong predictions and forecasting!! I think employees working here get salary without any actual work.
