Sagarika—a 'state-of-the-art' cruise passenger terminal— construction funded by the Ministry of Tourism; built by Cochin Port Trust (own & operate it too ) was inaugurated by the PM on 14 Feb & digitally. And it's said this facility could service up to 5k cruise passengers simultaneously. Say, all sizes of cruise ships can utilise this terminal, esp. those with LOA (length overall (Mariner's usage)) of 260m calling at the port will need to use this guy, as the other berth – BTP, which is an alternative place for cruise ships to berth in the port of Cochin, cannot accommodate those bigga ships. And so cause the building's inside the Ernakulam wharf which is a restricted area for the public, the opportunity to visit this facility might not be an everyday one. There's also this big parking space adjacent to the terminal, in fact it's just outside, enough for all the tourist buses and cars, taxis and autos, bicycles and whatnot. Tourist planners would love this place heehaa Alright, there are no cruise ships visiting with COVID-19 lurking around. Thought they'd resume the tourism service mid this year but now it seems it'll gon be a wait longger than initially thought.
