This review is incomplete as the place is closed since March-end and I couldn't go inside. No information is available as to when it will re-open post - COVID. It seems to be a very peaceful place tucked away in a corner of the twin cities, on a gently sloping hillside in Mahendra Hills. It consists of a Buddha Vihara and a monastery. Many humanitarian activities are undertaken here. In addition meditation classes are also offered. Finally got to visit this place on 13/2/21 Peaceful place and conducive to meditation.

Wonderful serene atmosphere in the middle of city. Excellent place for meditation. This place gives great relief from hectic & stressful life. Must visit and there is no entry fee. Ample parking place available for 2 & 4 wheelers.

Most peaceful place.....You can attend meditation and the chants made by the monks. It has library asa well and the book stall where books related to Budha are available . You can get to see the best view of city at night.On Sunday's there will be special sessions we can ask if we have anh queries.

One of Hyderabad’s best-kept secrets, The Mahabodhi Buddha Vihara is a Buddhist temple and monastery where you can go to meditate for hours together. It also has a library, a cultural space, and a mesmerising view. This is located in Mahendra Hills in East Marredpally. .... Although the temple is at a height, at the entrance is the wheel of dhamma or dharmachakra and plenty of open space, Once you are done meditating, don’t forget to stop and take a look at the breath-taking city view from what is the highest point of Mahendra Hills.... A bunch of monks, young and old, can be seen watering the plants or feeding the dogs at the temple. The temple is still closed and has not been opened even after unlock ..many devotees and travellers are waiting for it to reopen again.....the review is still incomplete... waiting for it to reopen.. So go here for much-needed peace and for a healthy break from our otherwise hectic lives. ...

Very peaceful place neat and clean situated on Hill Top and it has very good view of overall city and practicing meditation we can experience very seren peace to the heart, we can come over here with any closed one's it feels great.
