The Indian institute of Advance studies is a engineering marvel one of a kind also known as Vice Regal lodge. Its a very beautifully constructed building with a museum inside along with a world class library. May scholars come here for research. It has a big botanical garden which makes this place very beautiful. Once can go inside the building by purchasing a ticket and strolling in garden is free.

The Indian institute of advanced study is an historic and marvelous place, crafted in early 80's. Awesome indo-saracenic architecture. As I'm civil engineering student I recommend that people should visit this place atleast once in a life to see fantastic craft and design. Peaceful and full of nature environment.

The Indian institute of advanced study is an historic and marvelous peace, crafted in early 80s. It's a post PHD institute for further research on topics humanities and other social topics. Has a huge library consisting more than thousands of books and journals, but access is limited to research scholars only. Has great history related to India and its independence. A must place to visit in Shimla and has a really good weather. The visit costs around 50 per person, which is a guided tour to the campus. Around 20-30 people are grouped together in different time slots to complete the tour. Attaching some pictures for reference. Please like if you like the read..

Almost 130 year olf building but its a great example of architecture. I was mesmorize by the architechural desine in that era.Fireproof system, wooden interior, antique clock, images duration partition talk and many many things that are unique and antique. I request every one to visit if you are visiting shimla. Reach to the place around 9:00 to 9:30 as they have limited 60 seats in morning slit and 60 seats in afternoon slot which starts around 3:00pm.
