A very well maintained tourist place. Must commend UP tourism department for keeping its upkeep. The full Fort area is covered by boundary so that no stray animal or any kind of unwanted people can't enter without authorization. The entrance is done through online payment and using QR code. Perhaps a little bit of upgrade is required there (because payment through UPI doesn't work properly, it failed for me through Amazon Pay), otherwise this trip was a delight.

I love the greenery around the fort, best place for couples And for photoshoot also. Sikandra is a grandiose complex famous for being the home of the tomb of Akbar the Great, the greatest Mughal leader. This glorious monument showcases a harmonious fusion of Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Islamic and Jain art and architecture.

Absolutely lovely history and the way they've maintained is very great. Akbar planned the tomb and selected a suitable site for it. After his death, Akbar's son Jahangir completed the construction in 1605–1613. It cost 1,500,000 rupees to build and took 3 or 4 years to complete.[1] During the reign of Aurangzeb, Jats rose in rebellion under the leadership of Raja Ram Jat. Mughal prestige suffered a blow when Jats ransacked Akbar's tomb, plundering and looting the gold, jewels, silver and carpets. According to one account, even Akbar's grave was opened and his bones burned.
