I remember applying for my passport almost a decade back and the long queue and waiting time and all the hassle that goes with any government work. But believe me it has changed. The process is as smooth as it can get. Doesn't consume time. They take all precautions and for a second I couldn't believe it's a government office at all. Everyone was professional, polite and to my surprise really quick. Definitely there's something going right there.

Passport office is really away from station but the place and the way the service (treated me) was really Awesome... Well organised well clean at entrance huge space and they ask queue (line) according to report timing... Security guard are also very helpful and kind.... Once you enter there are 4 sections as follows:- 1) Check in.. Were they check do you have required documents with Xerox (if you don't have Xerox.. There is Xerox counter.. Xerox @1rs)and then give you token . 2) Processing.... Where your documents are scan and photo is taken.. Here you can order passport cover and tracking details 3) Verification... All original documents are checked... 4) Granting this is final step.. After this you exit... Above this process hardly take 30min only one thing I didn't find toilets here.(... I heard that there is after you exit but I didn't find) At last... I must say staff is really very good helpful.... IMP:- No Parking Is Available For Personal Vehicle... there is Road Side To Keep Vehicle But At Only On Our Risk

Seemless and very prompt service. Everything is very well organized. People need to carry all original documents, thats it . The copy machine is available and i would suggest everyone to get their zerox copies there, so that you dont carry unwanted copies. Try to reach with public transport as private parking is unavailable.

It is very far away from thane station, so you should leave your house accordingly. It was overall a great experience, it took me just 30-45 mins to get everything verified at all the three counters (there are three counters, A, B and C) when I reached the office. Photocopy booth exists inside, so you need not worry if you don't carry a copy.

Nice staff having good facilities but you have to carryover original Aadhar Card as They don’t accept smart card Aadhar card.Quick and fast process if you have all originals they will scan it and return same even your passport photographs is also not required

I applied for a passport renewal on Friday & the new passport was delivered Tuesday morning to my address. As others have mentioned too, very professional staff from security till the officers. The entire process from counter-to-counter was quite seamless & was completed within 1.5 Hrs. Can't believe the government services have improved so much in recent times. One suggestion: Need to have someone to guide at the main entrance gate as it is very confusing there. Different people having various appointment timings all stand in the same queue. But in reality, the people who have their appointment in next 15 mins are supposed to directly go to the queue near the office entrance door.

Best service..all documents submission along with biometric was done in merely 30-45 minutes and they have very quick, managed and well organized token system and many counters and seperate staff just to guide people...got my renewed passport within 24 hours

It is a very well managed passport office, the experience was very smooth, efficient and fast.The staff was very supportive and helpful guiding through process and various steps. There is a Xerox machine inside premises so in case you forget some xerox do not worry. There is no parking space outside and it is filled with rickshaws it is better if you commute by two wheeler or rickshaw, thanks to all staff of passport office for all your support !!
