One of the very few places where you can learn proper German form a native speaker in the area. A very dedicated teacher with outstanding experience who pays a retention to details. Proper German! Highly recommended for those who want to take their German to the next level.

I had a lot of trepidation about learning German since I had heard how tough its grammar was supposed to be. For the uninitiated I am learning the language out of passion and not to pursue a job or immigrate. Gutrun Gopal, the teacher was very kind and nice. Right from the start she taught us the right approach of going about the learning process. We gave been on an English diet all our student life and it does take a whole new mind set to get the taste of a new meal ( language). She taught how to unlearn English and get the German grammar right. I feel German language is a great subject to learn and she gave a whole new perspective. One develops a liking for the heart, soul and essence of the language and overcomes the superficial rut of just slogging for a certificate. So guys and gals, I recommend this institute run by Gutrun for a smooth, concise and effective ride on the language learning bandwagon.

Hi guys , EastWest Eli (Gudrun) is simply fantastic. She has a natural gift for teaching languages. I'd say she is capable of teaching German language to any level. Whether your aim is basic travel communication or fluency for the job . If you are thinking about learning German , then without doubt she is the best choice you could make. Highly recommended!!

Before I came to Germany for my masters, I did my German course in this Institute. It’s 5 years now :). I had a really good time learning German and also knowing the culture, an add-on which is rare. I took German courses here in Germany as well, but “The European Language Institute” is well ahead in comparison to the other Institutions I have attended. Smaller class strengths, knowing the culture, cost per course, ….. I can list a number of positive things about this Institute. For people who want to learn German beforehand, “The European Language Institute” is what I recommend.

Hi All, languages are best learnt in-person and that too from a native speaker. To a certain extent it is true that children learn pick-up multiple languages and become competent. The European Language Institute/EastWest Eli is the best institute ever to learn German. Headed and taught by Lehrerin, Ms. Gudrun Gopal, a German native settled in India currently in Mysore. I am learning German from her in this institute and have completed course until B1. She is a simply fantastic, down-to earth person, a teacher who is interested in the success of her students in learning the language. The dream of students be it at any age begins with a teacher like Gudrun who believes in students, who tugs and pushes and leads into next stage; and she is one of that kind. I can undoubtedly state that in-addition to learning the grammatically correct German language, you will also learn about the specifics of culture in Germany, etiquettes and the lifestyle of entire Europe. The classes are well structured with limited number of students to excel and be successful in Goethe institute exams. She takes a step ahead to give lots of practice works (hausaufgaben) and conducts exam preparatory sessions for her students. For Children, youngsters, students aspiring to pursue their higher education, professionals who wish to learn German and grow their career, this is ,The Place’ to join and learn. And most importantly, it is very cost-effective. Additional information is that Lehrerin Gudrun is proficient in other international languages too and teaches them. If you are planning to pursue higher studies or work in Germany, then it is best to start learning the language as early as possible, and get your necessary language certificates along side your present pursuits. I recommend the European Language Institute, as the perfect place to learn German language in a city like Mysuru. The reason being that the classes are engaged by a well experienced tutor who is also a native German speaker. Furthermore, the classes are held on weekends at convenient timings.

Mysuru is privileged to have a language institute run by a native German speaker. It is a great place to get an insight not only about the language, but also the culture and lifestyle in Europe. At the institute,I learnt German till the level B2 before moving to Germany. Overall the courses are very effective & not so heavy on the pocket. Highly recommended to learn German from a native speaker!
