Located in the heart of the city, Jhalawar Fort, locally called Garh Palace is a famous tourists attraction of Rajasthan. Built by Maharaj Rana Madan Singh and his successors during 1840 - 1845, the palace is mainly famous for beautiful paintings that adorn its walls, which can be seen only after a special permission from the authorities. On a short stopover at the Jhalawar Fort, visitors should drop in at the magnificent Zenana Khas or the ‘Women’s Palace.’ which with its extravagant mirror decorated walls and elaborative frescos never fails to impress anyone and are excellent treasures of Hadoti school of art. So, if on a vacation to Jhalawar than missing a visit to this fort would be a terrible mistake.

The Garh Palace is inside the walls of Jhalawar Fort and now houses the Jhalawar Government Museum. The main building is beautifully maintained while some of the surrounding structures are not in a good condition. The palace- and the fort- are situated in the middle of the old commercial area in Jhalawar The Jhalawar Government Museum has an excellent collection of historically significant and exquisitely beautiful statues, paintings and artifacts. The museum also has rare illustrated books. My museum visit could be divided into two stages- one, the museum with its many galleries of exhibits, and the other, parts of the palace itself with the beautifully decorated rooms, mural paintings and wall portraits. Some of the rooms of the palace, with glass inlay walls and ceilings, are indescribably beautiful. Everything within the palace is well preserved- and well guarded, with good security.

The land fort is having good fortification, bastions, gate, palace, temple, Museum, Bhawani Natyashala, government offices and many monuments. This fort built by Maharaj Rana Madan Singh and his successors during 1840-1845, the palace is mainly famous for beautiful paintings that adorn its walls. Some exquisite paintings and mirrors on the walls of ‘ zanana khas’ are of particular interest. Permission to see these painting can be obtained from the offices located here. Bhawani Natya Shala is the most unusual theatre in india it was constructed in 1921 A.D. where parsi theatre was performed initially.

The Jhalawar Fort, also known as the Garh Palace is located in the centre of the town. The fort was built by Maharaj Rana Madan Singh in 1845 AD. The Zenana Khas or the Women’s Palace has frescoes on both mirror and walls, which are considered finest examples of the Hadoti School of Art. Presently, Jhalawar Fort is home to the Collectorate and other offices. Love this place This is amazing Old is gold
