A nicely maintained monument, the archaeological museum at Sarnath is a must visit for visitors visiting Varanasi. The atmosphere was beautiful. There were many groups of Buddhists from many different countries. I felt honored to be sharing their devotion. The excavation site is awe inspiring. The gardens and the lawns are well maintained. The museum attached to the site is small but very nice with interesting pieces. Definitely should be part of a Varanasi visit.

Beautiful and amazing to see ancient Indian sculptures and monuments. Museum is really good, you can see the sculptures from a foot distance. Mobile phones are not allowed to take inside museum, and I think that's good, because you give attention by seeing things in real, capturing them into your real memories instead of reels. First time saw the Lion Capital (four lions on inverted lotus) and how good it looks. A must visit to museum and archaeological monuments.

I visited this place for the first time. It was peaceful and maintained very properly. I visited on a very sunny day due to that it got tiring but otherwise it is a good visit. If your a history enthusiast it will be good to take a guide and know the real story. There is also a nominal entry fee of 5.

Very clean and reasonable entry fee would attract large number of tourists. Good parking space and local eatables are available. One should not miss out this place while visiting varanashi. Early morning or late evening should be preferable to avoid scorching sun light

Its a beautiful garden with a huge monument. The place is good but the staff is not good. We reached there at 4.40pm as there was nothing mentioned in website. The staff forced everybody to scan the QR code and took the board with QR code inside at 4.45pm. Luckily I scanned it and booked the ticket for monument and museum. However the staff informed me that the museum is closed on Fridays. This is not fair as they booked and also took the payment for that. The management of these monuments are in wrong hands. Please visit this place in the morning as they close it by 4.45pm. By 5pm they will search the garden and force everybody to leave.

I visited for the first time. It's great place for Historical monuments lover. Also it's a very spiritual place for Buddhists. We have to buy only entry tickets of Rs 20 by scanning the qr code over there. There's also a light show which by projectors they display on the stupa. 6:30 pm evening (Rs 200 per person for half an hour show)
