I have done my masters from this department and currently pursuing PhD here only. So I have a very special kind of attachment for this place. The essence , the environment , the education this department provides is really commendable. The department is nothing without the teachers, staffs, and the students. From here I have gained friends for life . The seniors are really good, obviously not all but majority are very caring and helping. This department offers the best of education and obviously Banaras Hindu university ranks third all over India, so nothing extra is required to explain this. The teachers are very passionate about their work and are available even after the scheduled time. Not only the education even the natural beauty that surrounds this department is very eye soothing . One can see peacocks flying from one side of the building to other . Am extremely grateful that I got a chance to be a part of this department . Recently this department celebrated its centenary year , a proud moment indeed.

The department of Zoology, BHU has been one of the leading departments in the country. It has provided best teaching by highly qualified teachers.Faculty members have developed labs for their research work. Department has separate laboratories & lecture halls for UG and PG students. It has huge museum, animal house, departmental library, computer lab(for bioinformatics), and conference hall.
